The snowblower won't throw snow
The engine runs, but snow doesn’t leave the chute, or it barely does.
Worth noting before you call
- Are the shear pins intact? A spun pin is a common, cheap failure — don’t keep forcing it.
- Is the chute clogged? Shut the engine off, remove the key, and wait until every moving part has stopped. Clear it with the clean-out tool, not your hand. An auger that looks stopped can still move.
- Is the belt slipping or the auger barely turning?
- Wet heavy snow vs dry powder — tell us which.
If the pins are good and it still won’t throw, it’s a shop job. Call before the next storm.
